This year, our season officially starts on April 21st with games beginning as early as April 15th.
A little about Opening Ceremonies……
For those that have never attended, the best way to describe Opening Ceremonies is, organized CHAOS. It’s the one night when the entire league descends on the Veteran’s Park complex. Over 500 players and their families all in one location. All players are required to attend and are required to be in full uniform. After some announcements, a few recognitions, and several first pitches, all players will run, jog, trip and fall around the bases as parents celebrate the children and their love of the game.
Parking will be a challenge. Our recommendation is to get there early and the earlier, the better. Your coach should give you a location where your team will assemble prior to going out on the field. All players will head out to their team spots at 6:15. Opening Ceremonies will begin promptly at 6:30PM on Vets 3. The concession stand will be open so bring your appetites. We will also be selling shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other WLL paraphernalia.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the field on April 21st to officially start the 2017 Woodbridge Little League season.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we appreciate your support.

Parents, before you go out and spend your hard earned money on a new bat, please read the article on changes in bat standards.
With the Little League® International Board of Directors formally adopting USA Baseball’s new standard for bat performance testing, Little League International fully supports this program. For more than seventy-five years, Little League has used improvements in science, engineering, and technology to take the sport of baseball to higher levels. By utilizing the most current advancements available, manufacturers can now develop bats with a wood-like performance, which is important for the long-term success of the game. Developed by a USA Baseball committee of scientific experts, Little League Baseball® has decided to adopt the new bat standard for mandated use effective January 1, 2018. All national members of USA Baseball, including Little League, are encouraged to adopt this new standard. Little League-approved bats can be used through December 31, 2017, and our current bat regulations will be in effect until then. That includes the moratorium prohibiting the use of all 2 ¼ inch barrel baseball bats constructed with composite material in the barrel, unless approved. Visit LittleLeague.org for additional information. Little League looks forward to working with USA Baseball, and will begin educating our local leagues, and the parents of our 2.1 million baseball players, preparing them for the important change coming in 2018.
